The life of a booking, in eight steps.
Scroll through one job, from a stranger's first email to a paid shoot on your calendar. At every step you can see what JPX Desk did, change it, or stop it.
Anything that reaches a client, moves a date or asks for money waits for your yes.
An inquiry arrives
A client fills in your website form, or simply emails you. JPX Desk reads the inquiry inbox every five minutes, recognizes someone new asking about a shoot and makes them a lead. Your own replies from any mail app count as contact.
- Website forms, the inbox, forwarded emails and leads you add by hand
- One record per person, with every message they sent
Spam is held, not lost
Follower sellers, SEO pitches and cold-email trackers are held under Spam with one tap to bring them back. A message that names a shoot and a date is never held on its wording alone.
- Looks like spam and Looks like an inquiry banners in Mail
- Risk flags for known scam patterns. They flag, never reject
The brief builds itself
Every message from that person is read into one Brief: dates, venue, guest count, budget, services, deliverables and usage. Change a line and it stays pinned. A reply timer shows how long they have been waiting.
- Leads are ordered by who is waiting and the soonest shoot
- Reply in the same thread, from the same screen

Hold the date
Put a tentative hold on the day while you talk. If a second client wants it, holds are ranked first and second, with a travel buffer and an expiry. When you approve it, the client hears that their date is on hold.
- Holds stay inside JPX Desk. Clients never see your calendar
- Your date is on hold, Someone else wants your date, Your hold has ended
Write the proposal
Press Create proposal on the lead, or paste the email. The draft comes back with sessions, line items, deliverables, usage and your locked terms, and is checked before you see it. Offer two dates if the client hasn't decided.
- Fast, Default and Best model choices
- Five themes, PDF export, versions with a summary of what changed
Send one link
The proposal goes out from your own mailbox, as a reply in the client's original thread, with a short link and no prices in the email body. You confirm before it sends. Then you can see when it was opened and how often.
- Expires on its own, extend in one tap
- Unopened follow-ups are off until you switch them on
They sign and pay
On their phone, the client reads your proposal in your studio's theme, picks a date, signs and pays by card, Apple Pay or bank transfer. Full payment upfront is the default. A split is set only on proposals where you agreed to one.
- Both sides get the signed copy with its signing ID
- The client gets You're booked, with a receipt

Booked, delivered, on the books
The income lands on its job in Finance. Each shoot day goes on your iCloud calendar and its title updates when the job is signed and paid. The balance link, the deliverable due date and the gallery email are ready when you are.
- Balance due is the last shoot day plus your net days
- Thank you and testimonial notes, when you switch them on
Paid upfront, by default.
Studios lose bookings in the gap between yes and paid. JPX Desk closes it: the signature and the payment are on the same page, and the money is recorded the moment Stripe confirms it.
How clients pay
- Card and Apple Pay through Stripe, on your own Stripe account
- Bank transfer, if you switch it on
- Cash, Zelle or a check, recorded by hand on the job
How it's recorded
- Only Stripe's signed confirmation marks a card payment as paid
- Single-use deposit and balance links, each on its own short link
- Numbered invoices and receipts, refunds and disputes tracked
Off until you turn them on.
Reading new inquiries is on from day one. Every message that would reach a client is off, so nothing goes out in your name that you didn't choose.
